What We Do
We work with a carefully chosen group of both Japanese and International clients that look to expand their teams. Often we are looking for specifically talented person for a particular client, but an important part of our work is to find mutually suitable matches which can only be done after understanding a candidate’s story.
We believe that it is not enough to just find people that can do the job, but also make sure that the type of job that the person is doing is what they want to be doing, at a company that is aligned with that person’s career interests.
What you can expect from us is to be very knowledgeable about the job market, that includes in depth knowledge about clients that we do and don’t work with. After sharing details about your career and your aspirations we may urge you to: stay in your current role, consider one of our clients, apply to a company we don’t work with directly, speak to another agent that we know of who may be a better resource; everything depends on the particular situation.
Our Workflow
1. Career Consulting
The job market is alive. Having a job is like holding stock in a company, if the company does better every year, and the type of work you do becomes increasingly valuable you’re in a good place. But if you notice that a lot of people are suddenly resigning, or it’s becoming harder and harder to find people to join your team – you may need to start considering if you are holding onto the right kind of stock. We can help you understand the current market situation, and you can be informed when deciding your next move.
2. Company Introductions
There are a lot of great companies in Tokyo, and there are a lot of agencies working with them. We spend every day speaking with hiring mangers, HR, and the key decision makers in those companies so that we can give you a clear idea of the roles and the culture you can find in those companies. We will recommend roles that we believe would be suitable to your current situation.
3. Interview Preparation and Support
Preparation is half the battle. Just one hour of good research before an interview triples the success rate of any interview. We will share the key things to read about the company you are applying to so that the hour is well spent, and you’ll make the best impression possible.
4. Salary & Benefits Negotiation
We are here to make sure you get the best possible package. The negotiations actually begin from the very start of the interviews; from your first impression. The better you are able to impress the companies in the beginning with your abilities and preparation, the harder the companies will try to offer competitively. We are experienced in handling the communication to make the conversation smooth.
5. Acceptance & Resignation
When you’re excited to join your new company, it can also feel difficult to give notice to your current one. When you do give notice, at times problems can occur and we are there to help you with them. Our team is familiar with the rules and regulations of the Japanese Labor Law, ensuring that you are protected at all times of the process.
5. Follow Ups
Once you join your new company, if there are any matters that we can help you with we hope to hear from you. If you would be interested in hearing about the state of the market again in a few months or a few years from now we will always be happy to support your career growth.
